About the Artist

Hi!
My name is Kendall Green, and I am so grateful you are here.
I am originally from Northern California, and have been living in Bend, Oregon for the last 6 years. I graduated from Oregon State University and moved to Colorado post-grad with some time in Lake Tahoe in between here and there. I grew up coming up to Sunriver in the summertime to visit Bend family, so the high desert always felt like familiar in a way.
Inspiration from living in such beautiful areas has led me back to a childhood-obsessed activity- painting. Which has blossomed into a larger project turned business that I feel excited about everyday.
My painting technique starts within, and it's my mission is to focus on the things that bring beauty to our day, every day. I strongly believe that noticing the small details of beauty outside our window can impact a more positive mood and sense of gratitude, enhancing our overall wellbeing overtime. I truly believe that.
For my technique on wood, I use burning pens, aka pyrography pens, to trace and shade shapes directly onto the wood, creating a more natural feel. Using acrylic paint for more bold, solid color shapes and then watercolor for more flowing, softer shade, I aim to bring a more 3D multi-layer feel to the art piece vs. painting on canvas.
I don't know where I'd be without the beauty that surrounds me every day, I am eternally grateful! This includes the people in my life who have supported me through all this time.
Ps Ben, my beloved, does custom framing on all my originals!! 😊
With light and love,
-Kendall
